I am torn about Hanzou. He has a few mediocre magic spells, but his physical stats are significantly lower than Musashi's, though he is fairly quick. He might make a nice choice if you give him 3 or 4 levels, but you get him so late he is almost irrelevant.
Shivers: Too harsh on Hanzou, at least for my style. I usually at that point have someone in my troop who has died a lot or missed the best opportunities, and Hanzou has a good set of stats for the way I play. I'm not usually inclined to use his magic, but they are a nice bonus. Also, if you do level him up a bit, he starts having a lot more "deadly hits" on average than the other characters do at the same level. I'd be inclined to give him an 8/10 rating.
